This area is characterized by the varying nature of the landscape and situated at a nice and idyllic fisherman’s village St Michiel Behind Diving school Wederfoort you drop directly into the salinja (salt pond). The first stretch of the salt flats is a good place to practice your technical biking.
The route continues on into the beautiful green nature reserve of Malpais with the Lago Dispare (missing lake). With a little luck you can find the white-tailed deer also here. Via the circle at Bullenbaai you’ll cross over the street and head back again through the salinja. Part of this course is used every year for the Extreme Duo Mountainbike Race.
